Discovery call in. Coachable transcript out.

Most CRM-connected dialers and Zoom give you a mono sales call recording with both voices mashed together. We split rep from prospect acoustically, then surface the objection moments coaches actually rewatch.

Before we go deeper — what does success look like for you six months in?

S2

Honestly, fewer dashboards. We're paying for three tools that overlap.

S1

Got it. So consolidation is the real driver, not just the analytics piece.

S2

Right. And procurement won't approve another standalone tool this quarter.

Three real options · honest comparison

Gong or Chorus. Fathom or Fireflies. Or us.

Gong and Chorus are full revenue-intelligence platforms — they want your whole pipeline. Fathom and Fireflies are calendar bots that join meetings. We work with the recording file you already have, from any source.

Option 01

Gong / Chorus

Full revenue-intelligence suite. Records every call, scores reps, tracks deals.

RequiresAnnual contract + CRM sync
Speaker separationYes, sales-tuned
LanguagesEN-strong, others limited
One-off transcriptsNot supported
Cost~$1,600/rep/yr (approximate)
Onboarding4-8 weeks
Best forSales orgs with 25+ reps that want call scoring, deal risk flags, and a manager dashboard — and have budget to match.
Option 02

Transcription.Solutions

Drop a call recording from anywhere. Get the transcript, summary, and next steps in minutes.

RequiresNothing — just the file
Speaker separationRep vs prospect diarization
Languages99, auto-detected
One-off transcriptsPay per minute, no contract
Cost · per min$0.03
OnboardingSign up, upload, done
Best forReps and small teams who want clean transcripts for CRM notes and coaching — without buying a revenue-intelligence platform.
Option 03

Fathom / Fireflies

A bot joins your calls. Free tiers exist, but speaker accuracy on prospects is iffy.

RequiresCalendar OAuth + bot in invite
Speaker separationMono, EN-tuned
LanguagesNon-EN drops accuracy
One-off transcriptsBot must be in the meeting
Cost$0–$19/user/mo
Existing recordingsUpload limited or paid-only
Best forSolo reps who only need transcripts for meetings they schedule themselves and don't mind a bot icon in the participant list.

Pricing approximate as of 2026. Gong and Chorus pricing varies by seat count and contract — figures are publicly reported ranges.

Specific to sales calls

Three things generic transcribers get wrong on sales calls.

Flip these on the job form and the transcript comes back ready for the CRM, not ready for a rewrite.

What goes wrong

  1. 1Product and competitor names (Salesforce, HubSpot, Snowflake, your own SKUs) get phonetic-spelled. Generic AI doesn't know your category.
  2. 2Speaker labels say 'Speaker 1' instead of 'Rep' and 'Prospect' — useless for coaching review or pasting into a CRM call note.
  3. 3Filler-word transcripts (every 'um', 'like', 'you know') make the rep look worse than they sounded and bury the actual objections.

What to flip here

  1. 1Paste your product list, top 10 competitors, and key buyer titles into Custom vocabulary. We pass it to the recognizer as a hint.
  2. 2Rename Speaker 1 → Rep, Speaker 2 → Prospect in the editor once — the rename sticks across exports and the AI summary.
  3. 3Turn on Filler word removal and Objection-focused summary. The output reads like a coaching note, not a court transcript.

Accuracy · real-world numbers

94%+ on dialer recordings. Drops on PSTN cold calls.

Sales-call accuracy depends on how the call was captured. VOIP dialers with wideband audio are the best case; conference-line bridges with a prospect on a cell are the worst. Numbers below come from real customer files, not synthetic test sets.

96%
Zoom/Meet demo, per-channel recording

Scheduled demo with per-participant audio split. Rep and prospect on separate channels — diarization is trivial and product names land cleanly.

94%
Outreach / Salesloft / Aircall MP3

Wideband VOIP dialer export, mono. Two-speaker acoustic diarization splits rep from prospect reliably. Most outbound calls land here.

88%
Mobile prospect on a cell network

Rep on VOIP, prospect on 4G or PSTN. Background noise and codec compression cost a few points, mostly on company names and numbers.

82%
Conference bridge with 3+ people

8 kHz narrow-band, multiple voices over a bridge. Usable for CRM notes; plan a 5-min cleanup before sending to coaching.

Common questions

8 things people ask about sales call transcription.

01Can I pull recordings directly from Gong or Salesloft?+
Not via API yet — we don't have an integration with either. Export the MP3 from the call's detail page and drop it on the upload form. A 30-minute call processes in roughly 3 minutes.
02Will the transcript distinguish my rep from the prospect on a mono dialer file?+
Yes. Acoustic diarization separates voices even on a single-channel MP3, then you rename Speaker 1 to 'Rep' and Speaker 2 to 'Prospect' once. The labels persist in every export and in the AI summary.
03Is this compliant for recording disclosure under two-party consent laws?+
We transcribe what you give us — disclosure is on you and your dialer. Most modern dialers (Aircall, Dialpad, Outreach) play a consent prompt at call start. We delete the source audio within 24 hours of transcription.
04Can I get a CRM-ready summary I can paste into Salesforce or HubSpot?+
Yes. The AI summary defaults to four sections — prospect's stated pain, objections raised, rep's responses, and agreed next steps. Copy-paste lands cleanly into a Salesforce activity or HubSpot call note.
05How does this compare to Gong for coaching?+
Gong scores reps, flags deal risk, and indexes every call across your team — we don't do any of that. We give you a clean transcript and summary per call. If you have one rep to coach or twenty calls a month, we're cheaper. If you have fifty reps, Gong's dashboard is worth the price.
06Will it pick up our product names and competitor names correctly?+
Not on the first call unless you tell it to. Paste your product SKUs, top competitors, and common buyer titles into the Custom vocabulary field on the job form. Accuracy on those terms jumps from roughly 70% to 95%+.
07Can I transcribe a call in Spanish, German, or Portuguese?+
Yes — 99 languages, auto-detected from the audio. Diarization works the same. The AI summary is generated in the same language as the transcript by default, or in English if you set that on the form.
08What about live transcription during the call itself?+
Not yet for sales calls — our live bot works on Zoom, Meet, and Teams meeting URLs, not on Outreach/Salesloft dialer sessions. For now, upload the recording after the call. Most reps do this in batch at end-of-day.
