Refund Policy
Last updated: April 26, 2026
We try to make refund decisions predictable instead of "case-by-case mystery". Here's exactly how we handle refunds.
1. Within the first 7 days of a new subscription
If you've used less than 10% of your plan's monthly minutes, we issue a full refund for the period in question. No questions, no sales calls.
- Pro: full refund if you've used < 60 of 600 minutes.
- Business: full refund if you've used < 250 of 2,500 minutes.
2. After 7 days OR >10% used
We refund a pro-rated amount for the unused portion of the current billing period, calculated against the days remaining in the period and minutes still unused.
Example: you're on Pro ($19/month, 600 min), 15 days into your billing period, you've used 200 minutes. You request a refund. We refund roughly:$19 × (15 days remaining / 30 days) × (400 unused / 600 total) ≈ $6.33
3. Annual plans
Annual plans get the same logic, scaled to 365 days. The 7-day full-refund window also applies to annual plans, calculated against the first 7 days × 1/12 of annual usage.
4. What we don't refund
- Failed jobs — your minutes are not deducted to begin with, so there's nothing to refund.
- Quality complaints about transcription accuracy. ASR is probabilistic. Sample our service on the Free tier before purchasing.
- Charges older than 90 days (chargebacks may still be possible via your bank).
- Subscriptions cancelled then renewed — cancel-at-period-end means you got the value you paid for; renewal is a new purchase.
5. How to request
Email support@transcription.solutionsfrom the email address on your account, with:
- Your account email (to confirm you).
- Approximate purchase date.
- One sentence on why (helps us improve, even if you don't owe us a reason).
6. Processing time
We acknowledge within 1 business day and process within 2 business days. Stripe takes 5-10 days to put the money back on your card after that — that part's out of our hands.
7. Chargebacks
Please email us before opening a chargeback. We almost always agree on a refund; chargebacks cost both of us money and time, and may result in account suspension.
